Travelling, and continuation of the work abroad.

So I'm travelling to Poland tomorrow with my family and friends, for some holiday in Poland to meet my family and other friends there. But I'm still going to continue work on the project there, while I have some spare time. So it's not going to be exactly holiday. But since I enjoy working on the project so much I'm still going to work on it while I have some holiday. Anyway I only can work on Bones and Stones while not at school or doing homework or other more important stuff. I can't wait actually untill tomorrow, where going to have so much fun since my best friend that is coming along is actually going for the first time to Poland. So straight of in the morning when we arrive on the boat where heading straight of to the bar. ;)

Project wise I'm thinking on reworking the basic systems properly. And start modelling my own 3D models for the game, such things like first person hands and basic character model. And there is one Idea that I'm actually going to change a bit. But that will be a bit of a surprise. All I can say is that is significantly going to improve the fun and gameplay aspect of the game, both in single and multiplayer. But the work around that will commence when the basic functionality systems are in place, so it's a near distant future. But before the alpha release.

I really hope that this game will one day see the light of day. It has become something of a dream game to me. Both that I'm a fanatic when it comes to history. And because I'm also a fanatic of interactive media in general. And this game will actually be unique in it's own way and I really hope that it will be enjoyed by the players that will try it in the future. And most of all I do this not just for myself but for the gaming community. To give it something back since it has given me a great expiriance.

No video today :(
Since I've only worked a little bit with a basic combat system and it's not even finished yet. But as soon I will have something fresh and interesting I will post a video on that :)
So that's all for today and I bid you farewell and see you in the next entry on this blog :)

First video for showing what is actually done!

Continuation of the development.
Basic AI, day and night cycle, sky blending shaders.

So the development of Bones and Stones is still going on with a long break cause of partially lost motivation and time for studying. However the project is back on with full speed.
In just two days I managed to create grass, a basic AI script that for now only follows the player and day and night cycle. Plus I've started some work on basic GUI. Mainly player health and enemy health in the top corner of the screen, but it definately needs some more work. Right now I'm still working on expanding the enemy AI on being a bit more hostile towards the player and after that I will be adding some means for the player on defending himself.

In other news :) I'm actually travelling to Poland the 30th but I will copy my project files over to an external harddrive and continue the work on my laptop. And I plan to make more advanced player controls and movement, with some headbobing. Although I won't get into to much detail on the development process that is going on right now but here's a video for you of what is done so far :)

By the way, I'm not so used to make game development presentation vlogs so this is actually my first one. So please don't hate me if it's not the best video or professional made. I used windows movie maker to put this together ;)

Se you in the next update folks! :D
